Sulam is a coed travel program that integrates meaningful learning, exciting tiyulim, and sports into a jam-packed five-week itinerary. The tiyulim are coordinated by Sulam’s touring partner, Keshet and daily learning opportunities are led by incredibly talented staff.
We‘ve attached the detailed draft itinerary to this FAQ. We are big believers that children (especially teens!) need structure to feel productive, grow and thrive. We are confident that this itinerary, and the combination of learning, tiyulim, and sports, will leave each camper feeling inspired, happy, and engaged.
Each camper will submit a form prior to the summer (similar to bunk requests), which will guide initial room assignments and Family Groups. While Family Groups remain consistent throughout the summer, room assignments get mixed up every week. There are no set bus assignments even with multiple buses. This promotes healthy integration and helps foster the important positive camaraderie amongst the campers.
While Sulam is a five-Shabbat program, there is only one ‘Free Weekend’ throughout the entire summer with a return on Motzei Shabbat. This is an opportunity for campers to spend time with family or family-friends in Israel. Detailed information surrounding the Free Weekend is shared with our forms.
The Sulam dress code is consistent with Camp Morasha‘s:
Our food service is equipped to handle all common food allergies! There will be a designated dedicated staff member who serves as the point-person for all special food needs, including food allergies. Parents will have the opportunity to discuss any concerns with that staff member prior to the summer.
Sulam is a touring program, with several long-stay campuses, shorter “overnight trips” (Eilat, for example) or “out Shabbatot” (Tzfat, for example) scheduled throughout the summer.
Our quick online application is available at www.campmorasha. The $1,500 deposit is refundable up until November 1. Acceptances will be sent after November 15 and withdrawing after acceptances are shared will result in a $750 penalty (ie, only half the deposit will be returned). First tuition payments begin after that, based on the chosen schedule on the application.
