We've put together this Packing Guide to help you prepare for an incredible summer in Israel. Clothing should be geared toward the Israeli summer and the informal nature of the program.
Travel & Luggage Guidelines
All items must fit into one suitcase or duffel that meets airline size and weight requirements.
Each participant should also bring an overnight bag (for 2–3 nights when traveling without large luggage) and a backpack for daily outings. Please note: a backpack alone will not be sufficient as an overnight bag.
We will be going to the supermarket within the first couple of days to purchase toiletries. It is recommended to bring mini/travel-size shampoo, conditioner, and soap to use until then.
Laundry
Laundry service will be available 3 times during the program. Please plan accordingly when packing clothing. Because of travel considerations and the limitations of the 9 Days, laundry may not be done for up to 12 days.

Packing Tips
- Bring ONLY one large suitcase plus a small travel bag for 3–4 days. Extra bags are not needed and will incur additional airline charges. No sleeping bag or blanket needed.
- If you wear glasses or contact lenses, bring an extra pair and a copy of your prescription.
- Avoid bringing expensive electronic equipment and expensive cameras. Amcha is not responsible for lost or stolen belongings.
- Plan for laundry only 3 times during the program. Because of the 9 Days, laundry may not be done for up to 12 days.
- Clothing should be comfortable and appropriate for the Israeli summer heat.
