Trunks & Packing

We've put together this Packing Guide to help with your camp preparations and, most importantly, to set your child up for a successful camp season. The items below are suggestions, not requirements. Each camper should consider his own needs and habits when packing. Please also keep in mind that cubby space is limited. The Kollel boys have a range of habits when it comes to dress (some wear white shirts all week, others polos, others tshirts, and others colored button downs), it's not one size fits all.

We encourage US-based families to send luggage through our luggage transport company, Campify. Campers outside the TriState Area can also arrange a discounted FedEx pick-up through the Campify service.

Packing List

Check off items as you pack. Campers should bring enough of the following items to last approximately 10-11 days between laundry runs.

Seforim List

Members of the Kollel should keep an eye out for an email with the full Sefarim list. Below are the essentials:

  • A Chumash (Bamidbar/D'varim) with Rashi, for Shnayim Mikra (boys are Ma'avir Sedra before each Shabbos)
  • Meseches Brachos — the High School Kollel will be learning this mesechta
  • Kinos with English translation — for campers in camp for Tisha B'Av (first session). The Kollel has Kinos available, but bringing one with an English translation is highly recommended
  • Mini-Shas — if you own one, you are encouraged to bring it
  • A Jastrow dictionary — highly recommended
  • Any sefarim for Shabbos Divrei Torah preparation — each member of the HS Kollel will be asked to say Divrei Torah once or twice on Shabbosim throughout the summer

The Kollel has a full Beis Medrash with seforim for everyone’s use. You are welcome to bring additional sefarim you plan to learn on Shabbosim and Bein Ha’sdarim. Members of the Kollel are highly encouraged to begin studying the Mishnayos of the chosen mesechet in advance of the summer.
