The tiyulim are coordinated by Sulam\u2019s touring partner, Keshet and daily learning opportunities are led by incredibly talented staff.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>What does a day at Sulam look like?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We\u2018ve attached the detailed draft itinerary to this FAQ. We are big believers that children (especially teens!) need structure to feel productive, grow and thrive. We are confident that this itinerary, and the combination of learning, tiyulim, and sports, will leave each camper feeling inspired, happy, and engaged.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Will my child be assigned to a specific room and\/or bus for the entire summer?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Each camper will submit a form prior to the summer (similar to bunk requests), which will guide initial room assignments and Family Groups. While Family Groups remain consistent throughout the summer, room assignments get mixed up every week. There are no set bus assignments even with multiple buses. This promotes healthy integration and helps foster the important positive camaraderie amongst the campers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>How many Free Weekends are there on the program?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While Sulam is a five-Shabbat program, there is only one \u2018Free Weekend\u2019 throughout the entire summer with a return on Motzei Shabbat. This is an opportunity for campers to spend time with family or family-friends in Israel. Detailed information surrounding the Free Weekend is shared with our forms.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Is there a dress code?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Sulam dress code is consistent with Camp Morasha\u2018s:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Male campers may not wear sleeveless shirts to t\u2019filla and shiurim. On Shabbat, males must wear a buttoned-down SOLID white -or- SOLID blue shirt (no 3-button polo shirts allowed), and appropriate pants (not jeans, sweatpants, or shorts) and shoes befitting for Shabbat. A kippah or hat must be worn at all times and tzitzit, when not playing sports or swimming.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Female campers may wear jeans, sweatpants, or other loose-fitting pants. Leggings are not permitted. Skirts and shorts are permitted, but must hit the top of the knee. Soffe shorts, boxer shorts, biker shorts, and tennis skirts are not permitted. All shirts must have sleeves. Sleeveless, flutter, and cap sleeves are not permitted. Necklines of shirts should not be inappropriately revealing, see-through, or cut and cropped shirts are not allowed. Please make sure that Shabbat clothes adhere to all the above guidelines.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>How are specific food allergies handled on a program like Sulam?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our food service is equipped to handle all common food allergies! There will be a designated dedicated staff member who serves as the point-person for all special food needs, including food allergies. Parents will have the opportunity to discuss any concerns with that staff member prior to the summer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Does Sulam have a home base or do they travel from place to place?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sulam is a touring program, with several long-stay campuses, shorter \u201covernight trips\u201d (Eilat, for example) or \u201cout Shabbatot\u201d (Tzfat, for example) scheduled throughout the summer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Everything sounds great! What are the next steps?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our quick online application is available at www.campmorasha. The $1,500 deposit is refundable up until November 1. Acceptances will be sent after November 15 and withdrawing after acceptances are shared will result in a $750 penalty (ie, only half the deposit will be returned).
