We are big believers that children (especially teens!) need structure to feel productive, grow and thrive. We are confident that this schedule, and the combination of learning, tiyulim, and sports, will leave each boy feeling inspired, happy, and engaged.

What if my child doesn’t love sports?

That’s OK! Sports leagues are only at night (and one sports tournament a week, usually on Tuesdays). In addition to those night leagues, we will have plenty of alternative activities to enjoy — and will be having a ‘camp-like’ night activity every night following the leagues (and a mishmar on Thursdays).

Will my son be assigned to a specific room and/or bus for the entire summer?

Each camper will submit a form prior to the summer (similar to bunk requests), which will guide initial room assignments and chabura groups. While chaburas remain consistent throughout the summer, room assignments get mixed up every week. There are no set bus assignments if there are two buses. This promotes healthy integration and helps foster the important positive camaraderie amongst the campers.

How many Free Weekends are there on the program?

While Amcha is a five-Shabbos program, there is only one ‘Free Weekend’ throughout the entire summer with a return on Motzei Shabbos. This is an opportunity for campers to spend time with family or family-friends in Israel. Detailed information surrounding the Free Weekend is shared with our forms.

Is there a dress code?

The boys will be required to wear pants to Shacharis and morning shiur. On Shabbos, boys must wear pants and solid-white or solid-blue button down shirts. Of course, a kippah or hat must be worn at all times and tzitzis is expected to be worn outside of sports games, swimming, water hikes, etc.

How are specific food allergies handled on a program like Amcha?

Our food service is equipped to handle all common food allergies! There will be a designated dedicated staff member who serves as the point-person for all special food needs, including food allergies.
